Richard H. Baxter

Green River – Richard H. Baxter Sr., 87, passed away on June 26, 2006 in Green River, Wyoming. He lived in Green River for over 10 years and was a former resident of Wisconsin. He has been retired for more than twenty-five years. Richard was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin in October 1918. He graduated from High School there in 1935 at age 16. He worked in Milwaukee and Lancaster, Wisconsin. Richard served during WWII with the U.S. Army in England, France, and Germany. He married E. Kathleen “Kate” and they had two children. He was a business owner in Wisconsin for forty years before retirement. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Kate and six brothers. He is survived by his son Dick Jr. and wife Alice of Green River; daughter, Betty and Kar of Elizabeth, Colorado; five grandchildren and one great- granddaughter. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services and inurnment will take place in Lancaster, Wisconsin.
