Richard Louis Fraher Rock Springs - Richard Louis Fraher, 54, of Rock Springs, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born February 27, 1958 in Great Falls, Montana, the son of John A. Fraher and Geraldine A. Strain Fraher. He attended schools in Great Falls and Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1976. He attended Virginia Tech and received a masters degree in mine engineering from University of Missouri, Rolla, Missouri. His interests were rock and ice climbing, reading, biking, outdoor sports including football and basketball, and reading newspapers. Survivors include his sister Kathleen A. Fraher of Rock Springs; brother-in-law John Larsen of Rock Springs; nephew Erik Larsen, Rock Springs; nieces Toni Pinkham of Rock Springs and Amy Larsen of Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by his parents John A. and Geraldine A. Fraher, sister Teresa M. Fraher Larsen. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs where friends may call from 1:30 pm until service time. Inurnment will take place at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to the Kathleen A Fraher Special Needs Trust, % John Larsen, 702 Midway, Rock Springs, WY 82901.
