Rikki Lea Abeyta

Rikki L. Abeyta, 29, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, 2024 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was born on October 24, 1995 in Thornton, Colorado.

Rikki was a mother, daughter, sister and cherished friend. She enjoyed music, reality TV, hair/makeup and traveling. Rikki had a great sense of humor, was very determined and strong willed.

Survivors include her mother Christa Chavez; stepfather Michael Chavez of Green River, WY; father Richard Abeyta of Denver, CO; son Christain VanRyn  of Biloxi, MS (born September 20, 2015); daughter Kiannah West Abeyta of Green River, WY ( born September 20, 2024); sisters Jordyn Urban of Deer Trail, CO, Shaunda Lloyd of Provo, UT, Paityn Armijo of Green River, WY; grandmother Suzanne Steinman of Tulsa, OK; nephew Bradley Urban; niece Ivy Urban;

She was preceded in death by grandfather Arthur Max Steinman.

She leaves behind a life that serves as a reminder that evil can penetrate the life of anyone who struggles to feel loved and accepted. As we commemorate her life, we ask that you reach out to those you have wronged or abandoned so that we can provide hope to those who feel lost.

Thessalonians 4:13-14 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, November 22, 2024 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, WY. A viewing will be held on hour prior to services.

Jeff Radcliff of the Green River Church of Christ will be officiating.
