Robert John Buddecke
Rock Springs - Robert John Buddecke, 79, of Rock Springs died January 24, 2012 at his home following a lengthy illness with COPD.
He was born April 21, 1932 in Dalton, Nebraska, the son of Anton Buddecke and Katherine Kallhoff Buddecke.
He married Marcia Knox on October 7, 1964 in Minot, North Dakota.
He was employed for many years as a truck driver and retired in 1994 from HB&R in Rock Springs.
He was a member of the SonÂ’s of the American Legion in Rock Springs.
His interests were fishing, hunting, and playing poker.
Survivors include his wife Marcia Buddecke of Rock Springs; sons Dennis Buddecke and wife Rosemary and Ken Buddecke and wife Tammy all of Rock Springs; daughter Jane Youngblood and husband Paul of Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers Leo Buddecke and Don Buddecke both of Kimball, Nebraska, and Jim Buddecke of Taft, California;sisters Margaret McCabe of Dalton, Nebraska, Joe Cherry of Greeley, Colorado, Elizabeth Cooper of Canyon Lake, Texas, Clara Nelson of Casper, Wyoming, and Edna Baldwin of Kimball, Nebraska; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Laverne, Alfred, Lawrence, sisters Kathy, Aggy, and granddaughter Erica Youngblood and her husband Michael Dye.
Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs.
Following the service, the family will be receiving friends at the American Legion (old building), 534 Broadway, Rock Springs.
