Robert Edwin Devargas
Lyman - Robert Edwin Devargas, 54, of Lyman died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Little America after a sudden illness.
He was born December 4, 1956 in Tooele, Utah, the son of Eddie Devargas and Virginia Elena Quitana Devargas. He attended schools in Tooele and graduated from Tooele High School with the class of 1975.
He was a career veteran having served in the US Army and Navy.
He married Tracey Ann Highlander July 7, 1995 in San Diego, California.
He was a member of the Ft. Bridger Lion’s Club. He was also a member of the Saint Marguerite Catholic Church in Toole.
His interests were drawing, auto mechanics, camping, bow and fly fishing, trapping, his dogs, riding his tricycle in Lyman, glueing things with super glue, and having a sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife Tracey Devargas of Lyman; sons, Robert James Devargas of Salt Lake City, Clarence Diener of Washington, Missouri; daughters, Candice Devargas and husband Saleupolu Kitiona of Lemoore, California, and Miranda Diener of Dallas, Texas; brother James Devargas of Racine, Wisconsin; sister Virginia Ann Roberts and husband Dwayne of Tooele, Julia Braun and husband Kirt of Rawlins, April Harrison of Lyman; grandchildren Timothy Kitiona, Ato Nauga, Oteta, Reanna Taimane-Dawn, and Lauina all of Lemoore, California, and Brody Diener of Washington, Missouri; aunt and uncle Andrew and Andy Quitana of Tooele; nephews Adam E., Kolter M. and Aaron T. Braun; and numerous other uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; lastly his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Virginia Devargas.
Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
Memorial mass will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 15, 2011 at Saint Marguerite Catholic Church, 15 South 7th Street, Tooele, Utah. Additional memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday September 16, 2011 at the Granger Baptist Church, Granger, Wyoming.
