Robert L. Mullen

Robert L. Mullen Rock Springs - Robert L. Mullen, 84, of Rock Springs passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Mission at Castle Rock Rehabilitation Center in Green River after a lengthy illness. He was born June 25, 1932 in Maywood, Nebraska, the son of Orie Mullen and Zona Kahl Mullen. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in Nebraska. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean War. Robert married Brenda J. Moore June 25, 1982 in Jackson, Wyoming. He worked in the oil fields for many years. He was a member of the VFW in Rock Springs. His great passion was fishing, but he also enjoyed hunting and camping. Survivors include his wife Brenda Mullen of Rock Springs; sons Tom Mullen and wife Debbie of Rock Springs, and John Mullen and wife Stephanie of Boulder; daughter Jane Williams and husband Jay of Rock Springs; sister Charlene O’Shell and husband Bud of Los Lunas, New Mexico; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Orie and Zona Mullen, and daughter Mary Bertagnolli. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. At his request, no services will be held.
