Robert Winsloe McKnight Green River - Robert Winsloe McKnight, 75, of Green River, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyoming after a sudden illness. He was born March 19, 1936 in Live Oak Florida, the son of Ralph and Dora Cruz McKnight. He graduated from Live Oak K-12 School in Live Oak, Florida. He married Carol Ann Bercaw May 11, 1956 in Tampa, Florida. He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps as an Aviation Mechanic during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed as a welder and iron worker with numerous companies until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Rock Springs. His interests were horses and his dog Buster. Survivors include his two sons, Monty McKnight of Bear River, Wyoming and Michael McKnight of Lovell, Wyoming; two daughters, Gloria Seligman and Greta Lumley both of Tampa; two brothers, Gary McKnight and George McKnight; sister Betty Culberton all of Live Oak, Florida; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in Death by his spouse Carol Ann McKnight and sister Margaret Wilkes. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
