Robert James Tognoni Rock Springs – Robert James Tognoni, 36, of Rock Springs died Monday, February 7, 2005 at Evergreen Canyons in Salt Lake City, Utah after a lengthy illness. Robert was born June 4, 1968 in Ely, Nevada the son of Robert Joseph Tognoni and Fay FarnworthSouthard . He attended Schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1986. He also attended Western Wyoming Community College. He was employed at the Rocket Miner in the composing room. Robert was a member of the Sunday Afternoon Mixed League. His interest included his family, dogs Rocko and Angle, bowling, camping, hiking, and computers. Survivors include his parents, Fay Southard and husband Lynn of Laverkin, Utah and Mary (Betty) Tognoni, of Ely Nevada; one brother, Shane Southard of Sanfrancisco, California; three sisters, Teresa Downs and companion Tracy Frisbee of Rock Springs, Crystal Southard of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Amanda Robinson of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandfather, Sam Bida of Ely, Nevada; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; three nieces, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Tognoni, grandparents, and aunt, Margaret House. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Pastor John Ratcliff officiating.
