Ronald Macioszek

Ronald “Polock” Allen Macioszek Green River - Ronald “Polock” Allen Macioszek, 62, of Green River died Tuesday, September 17, 2007 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 21, 1944 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, the son of Walter Andrew and Irene Ann Bloch Macioszek. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam war, 1962-1968. He married Sandra Jean Edwards on August 12, 1967 in Hibbing, Minnesota. They moved to Green River in 1973 and was employed for 30 years with General Chemical, retiring in January 2004. Ron was a member of the Steelworkers Union Local #15320, the VFW post #2321, the AFLDGR Local #1369 and Lakeway Liquor charter member. His interest were motorcycles, attending Sturgis rallies, music, hunting, camping with family, and coffee with friends. Survivors include his wife Sandra of Green River; one son, Ronald A. Macioszek Jr. and wife Laurie of Green River; three daughters, Ronda Nieman and husband Robbie, Melissa Klepper and husband Robert, and Krista Taylor and husband Clayton, all of Green River; twelve grandchildren, Ashley, Bobby, Amanda, Randy, Trent, Jerred, Amber, Jayson, Christopher, Cody, Corey, and Hailey all of Green River. He was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, stepfather, Frank Turk, sisters Arliss Harwood and Carol Erikson,, and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Saturday September 22, 2007 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Pastor Russ Daines officiated. Friends and family called 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation took place following services at Fox Crematory, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs.
