Rose Marie Korhonen Wright

Rose Marie Wright Denver, CO - Rose Marie Wright, 61, of Denver died Wednesday July 29, 2009 in Aurora Colorado. She was born October 5, 1947 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Toivo and Patricia Gavin Korhonen. She attended school in Superior and Rock Springs, graduating from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1966. She attended the University of Wyoming and graduated in 1972 with a degree in physics. She married Leroy Wright in 1973. They were later divorced. In 1980, she moved to the Denver Area and worked several jobs until her health would no longer permit. Her interests included traveling, the outdoors, and helping with church activities in the Denver area. Survivors include her brother Bill Korhonen of Rock Springs; nieces Janel Goff and husband Kevin and children of Casper, and Angela Fleming and daughter Madeline of Denver; nephew, Michael Korhonen and wife Stacey and daughter of Aurora, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, A Street & Broadway, Rock Springs. The Reverend Carl Beavers will officiate. Friends and family may call 6-8 pm Thursday, August 6, 2009 with a parish rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Interment will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Rock Springs.
