Roy G. Messer Rock Springs - Roy G. Messer, 65, of Rock Springs died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home in Rock Springs after a lengthy illness. He was born December 27, 1948 in Borger, Texas, the son of James Messer and Imogen King Messer. He attended schools in Big Piney and graduated from Big Piney High School with the class of 1967. He also attended Casper College where he became certified as a Microsoft Network Engineer. He married Tonya Bondurant December 28, 1968 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. His interests were computers, software, photography, and being a husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife Tonya Messer of Rock Springs; mother Imogene Messer of Layton, Utah; son James Messer and wife Jennifer of Rock Springs; daughter Cheryl Roose and husband David of Rock Springs; sisters Wanda Oliverson of Layton, Utah, Bonnie Skinner of LaBarge, Wyoming; grandchildren Corbin and Gavin Messer of Rock Springs. He was preceded in death by his father James Messer and brother Jack Messer. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Condolences for family can be left at www.foxfh.com.
