Rudy Carl Moeller

Rudy C. Moeller Rock Springs - Rudy C. Moeller Jr., 71, died July 6, 2009 in Benton, Illinois. He had been a lifelong resident of Rock Springs and had been living in St. Augustine, Florida since his retirement. He was born January 31, 1938 in Rock Springs, the son of Rudy C. Moeller and Hannah Young Moeller. He married Lorna Curtis on June 23, 1959. Rudy owned and operated several businesses in Rock Springs including the Spurs Motel and the Shoe Roundup. He also worked for JC Penny’s as assistant manager. He had been employed at Bridger Coal for 23 years until his retirement. His interests were traveling, classic cars, and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his wife Lorna of St. Augustine, Florida; five sons, Dave Moeller and wife Deena, Mike Moeller and wife Becky, Jeff Moeller and wife Jeannie and Kevin Moeller, all of Rock Springs, Curt Moeller of Richfield, Utah; one daughter, Jill Moeller of St. Augustine; two sisters, Joyce Greenhalgh and husband Gary and Susan Moeller, all of Rock Springs; grandchildren, Elisa and Dustin Robbins, Shane Moeller, Eric and Ashley Moeller, Jeff Jr., Jakob and Jensen Moeller, Tanner Moeller, and Breanne and Devon Fernandez, all of Rock Springs, Sariah, Katey and Amber Moeller of Richfield, Utah; great-grandchildren, Brenden, Adley and Gavin Robbins and Jordan Moeller, all of Rock Springs. He was preceded in death by his father, mother Hannah O’Flaherty, sisters Madalyn Jereb and Jean Zueck, and one great-grandson, John Robbins. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the LDS White Mountain Chapel, 3315 White Mountain Blvd, Rock Springs. Friends may cal 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 10,2009 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
