Sandra "Sandy" Bybee

Green River - Sandra "Sandy" Bybee, 59, of Green River died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at her home in Green River after a sudden illness. She was born April 27, 1947 in Farmington, New Mexico, the daughter of Karl Ashcroft and Elsie June Palmer. She attended schools in New Mexico and graduated from Kirtland High School with the class of 1965. She married Robert Bybee on November 7, 1980 in Manila, Utah. Sandy had been employed for City Market in Green River for 15 years. She was a member of the Green River Fraternal Order of Eagles #2350 Auxiliary. She was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her interests were ceramics, attending the Eagles, word puzzles and family. Survivors include her husband Bob of Green River; father Karl Ashcroft of Kirtland, NM; one son, Karl Andrew Bybee and wife Roya of Rock Springs; two step-sons, Robert Bybee II and William Bybee both of Castlehane, North Carolina; two daughters, Daphne Bybee of Green River, Lisa Armor and husband Allen of Kirtland, NM; three brothers, Nicholas Kay Ashcroft and wife Wannie of Farmington, NM; Gilbert Ross Ashcroft and wife Debra, Brad Ashcroft and wife Candace all of Kirtland; two sisters Ramona Fischer and husband Hans and Mayla Fischer and husband Gerald, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; 13 grandchildren; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Ashcroft and several aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday February 24, 2007 at the Green River LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 1000 West 4th North, in Green River. Bishop Wade Mecham will officiate. A luncheon will be served following the services at the Green River Eagles Lodge.
