Rock Springs – Scott Allen Cushman, 40, died Saturday June 26, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Scott was born October 8, 1963, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont the son of Charles T. and Patricia A. Farman Cushman. He attended schools in St. Johnsbury, Vermont and he graduated from Lindon Institute with the class of 1981. He then served in the US Marine Corps. He married Debbie Derocher on June 13, 1987 in East St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He was a logger for many years in Vermont and Wyoming. He was employed as a Supervisor at Haliburton for the last seven years. He was a member of the American Legion Archie Hay Post #24 in Rock Springs. His interests included, and motor cycling and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include his parents Charles and Patricia Cushman of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; two step daughters, Amanda Ruffing and Tashia Beer both of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; three brothers, Chuck Cushman and wife Melinda of Parsonsfield, Maine, Dean Cushman of Rock Springs, and Bruce Cushman and wife Anna of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; one sister, Kimberly Rowell and husband Chad of Kirby, Vermont; one step granddaughter, Breanna Ruffing of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and one cousin, Vincent Farman. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 30, 2004 at The American Legion, 543 Broadway, Rock Springs. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday June 29, 2004 at the Sweetwater County Events Complex, 3320 Yellowstone Road, Rock Springs. Additional Services will be held Saturday in St. Johnsbury, Vermont with interment in St. Johnsburry Center Cemetery. Fox Funeral Home, Rock Springs funeral directors.
