Stella Marie Lamorie

Rock Springs – Stella Marie Lamorie, 92, of Rock Springs died Sunday June 6, 2004 in Louisiana after a short illness. Stella was born May 18, 1912 in Agular, Colorado the daughter of Max and Daisy Larado Martinez. She married John D. Lamorie. He preceded her in death. She had been a long time resident of Rock Springs, and for the past year she resided with her daughter and son-in-law Jean and Bill Jowers of Schriever, Louisiana. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Her interests included playing bingo, going to Wendover, Nevada, and spending time with family. Survivors include one daughter, Jean Jowers and husband Bill of Schriever, Louisiana; three sons, Gabe Lamorie and wife Cathy of Casper, Wyoming; Richard Lamorie of Schriever, Louisiana; and Sam Lamorie and wife Joan of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one brother, Sam Martinez and wife Maggie of Rock Springs, Wyoming; twenty-three grandchildren, and 53 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Tillie Lamorie Farnsworth, and one granddaughter, Andrea Lamorie Wold. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2004 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Father John Savio officiating. Friends may call Thursday 12-8 p.m. and Friday morning until service time with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Paul J. Wataha Section at Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
