Steven Ray Schissler

Rock Springs - Steven Ray Schissler, 46, of Rock Springs died Friday, January 12, 2007 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a sudden illness. He was born December 17, 1960 in Potsdam, New York, the son of William John Schissler Jr. and Marilynn L. Dillinger. Steve attended school in Lingle & Ft. Laramie and graduated from Ft. Laramie High School with the class of 1979. He married Elizabeth Ann Patterson September 19, 1980 in Torrington, Wyoming. He had been employed with White Mountain Lumber in Green River for the last 10 years. His interests were hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth “Beth” Schissler of Rock Springs; parents, William and Marilynn Schissler of Ft. Laramie, WY; one son, David Schissler of Rock Springs; two daughters, Crystal Schoen and husband Terry of Rock Springs, Teresa Hall and husband Charles of Coldwater, MI; one sister, Sally Miller and husband Dale of Ft. Collins, CO; three grandchildren, Lillian Hall, Breanna Schoen, Nathaniel Schoen; one uncle, Thomas Schissler; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents and one uncle Ora Frances Dillinger. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church, 1515 Edgar St., Rock Springs, Wyoming. Rev. Mary Ann Dimand will officiate.
