Susan Rene' Getz Rock Springs- Susan Rene' Getz, 42, of Rock Springs died Sunday June 28, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a sudden illness. Susan was born October 31, 1966 in Roseburg, Oregon, the daughter of Howard James Barlow Jr. and Anita Ann Rhoades Barlow. She attended schools in Roseburg, Oregon, and graduated from Roseburg High School with the class of 1984. She married Jay Getz on June 15, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She had been employed at Home Depot and Walmart in Rock Springs. Her interests included remodeling, home improvement, animals, and Dalmatians. Survivors include husband Jay Getz of Rock Springs; mother, Anita Ann Barlow of Roseburg, Oregon; sisters, Kelly Bornstedt and fianc' Jim Goich of Rock Springs, and Jody Barlow of Roseburg; grandparents, Earl and Marion Rhoades of Redmond, Oregon; one aunt and one uncle; several cousins; nieces and nephews Michael, Karli, Erika, Matthew, and Olivia. She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents Howard Sr. and Pearl Barlow, and Eva Rhoades. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Ave., Rock Springs. The Rev. Carl Beavers will officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery at a later date.
