Susan Jane Corder Evanston, WY - Susan Jane Corder, 68, of Evanston, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at her home. She was born June 7, 1948 in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Richard Carlson and Norma Stephenson Carlson. She received her degree from Fort Hays Kansas State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. Susan married Michael Corder June 15, 1968 in Salina, Kansas. After moving to Evanston, she became involved in many volunteer organization and served as a Sunday school teacher, safe advocate for 5 years, Lord’s Store House, and PTA. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church in Evanston. Survivors include her husband Michael Corder of Evanston; sons Matthew Corder of San Antonio, Texas, and Scott Corder of West Valley City, Utah; sister Barbara Carlson of Wakeeney, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard & Norma Carlson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Union Presbyterian Church, 10th and Center, Evanston. A viewing will be held 7-9 pm Wednesday August 24, 2016 at the church and also one hour prior to the services. Graveside services and interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Roselawn Cemetery in Salina, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the ASPCA at their website.
