Suzanne Brooks Rock Springs - Suzanne Lynn Brooks, 63, of Rock Springs died Friday April 9, 2010 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born January 16, 1947 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Billy Dee McClure and Erma Grace McClure. She attended schools in San Diego, and graduated from high school with the class of 1964. She also attended college in San Diego and received her BA degree. She married Frank Brooks on January 28, 1992 in Kemmerer. She had taught English in high school for many years. For the past 10 years she was employed at the Bomber's Sports Bar in Rock Springs. Her interests were cooking, playing cribbage and chess with her husband, spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends at Bomber's Sports Bar, writing poetry, reading and being a mom to anyone who needed one. Survivors include her husband Frank Brooks of Rock Springs; two sons, Peter and Eric Bailey both of Eureka, California; three daughters, Lynette Bailey of Pensacola, Florida, Nissa and Deista Brooks both of Rock Springs; brother, Brad McClure of Southern California.; ten grandchildren, Michael McClellan, Christian, Cassidy, Jada, Jordan, Landon, and Kendal Bailey, Izzabella Turner, Nolan and Laila Copenbarger. She was preceded in death by her parents Billy McClure and Erma Grace Wordley, and stepfather Jack "Papa" Wordley. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
