Green River - Thelma Louise Duncan, 90, of Green River died Friday, February 2, 2007 at her home in Green River. She was born on May 22, 1916 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Peter and Gertrude Porter Allison. Thelma attended grade schools and high school in Rock Springs. She married Earl Miller. They were later divorced. She then married Ted Duncan. He preceded her in death. She had been employed as a seamstress, waitress, cab driver, and car man on the railroad. Her interests were crocheting, yard work, cooking and her family. Survivors include one daughter, Louise Overy of Superior; three grandchildren, Michelle Laker and husband Wendell Finstad of Rock Springs, Leslie Barber of Everette, Washington, Kraig Overy and wife Christine of Rock Springs; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret McComas of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Virginia Turcato and husband John of Rock Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Duncan, parents H P & Gertrude, and sister Lorene Matilainen. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Pastor James Coplin of the Superior Baptist Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory. Inurnment will take place in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
