Tim Nousi

Rock Springs - Tim Nousi, 90, of Rock Springs, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at his daughters home in Rock Springs after a short illness. He was born November 29, 1917 in Superior, the son of Hiski and Ilmi Laitinen Nousi. He attended schools in Superior and Rock Springs, graduating from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1935. He served in the US Army during WWII. Tim married Elsie Huhta on September 22, 1942 in Green River. She preceded him in death on March 31, 1999. He was a life member of the NRA and also a member of the Rock Springs Elks BPOE #624. Survivors include, one daughter, Janice Jeffries and husband Ray of Rock Springs; one son, Tim J. Nousi and wife Dottie of Arvada, Colorado; three grandchildren, Lisa Chaney and husband Jim, Tim R. Nousi, and Erica L. Nousi; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sara Chaney. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Private family services have been held. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to Hospice of Sweetwater County, 809 Thompson St. Suite D, Rock Springs.
