Vance Patrick Kiernan Rock Springs - Vance Patrick Kiernan, 38, of Rock Springs, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs. He was born January 3, 1971 in Rock Springs, the son of Wilfred and Julia Kiernan Bowker. He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1989. After high school, he served in the US Army during the Gulf War. He had been employed by Black Butte Coal for the last 6 years. Pat was a member of Grace Baptist Church. His interests included his family, camping, BBQ's, the Philadelphia Eagles and spending time with his kids. Survivors include daughter, Kelsey June Kiernan of Rock Springs; son, Donavynn VicPatrick Kiernan of Butte, Montana; mother, Julia Bowker of Rock Springs; brothers, Brian Williams and wife Sian and Jack Bowker all of Rock Springs; sisters, Wanda Petty and husband Kenneth Jr. and Annette Bowker all of Rock Springs; nephews Trey Petty and Keaton Bowker and niece, Marissa Petty all of Rock Springs; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Bowker; sister, Wilanna Bowker; grandparents, John Thomas Kiernan, Okal Kiernan Davison, Wilfred Bowker Sr., and Anne Marie Bowker. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Grace Baptist Church, 100 Willow at Walnut, Rock Springs. Friends may call Sunday 5-8 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
