Vernon LeRoy Johnson

Vernon LeRoy Johnson Rock Springs - Vernon LeRoy Johnson, 18, of Rock Springs died December 31, 2011 from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born February 11, 1993 in Rock Springs, the son of Ed and Kitty Johnson. He attended schools in Rock Springs and was currently a senior at Rock Springs Independent High School. His interests were hunting, fishing, camping, anything outdoors, doing things with friends and family, and going shooting with his friends and adopted brothers and sisters. Survivors include his parents Ed and Kitty Johnson of Rock Springs; sister Liz of Rock Springs; grandparents Vern and Midge Johnson of Staples, Minnesota; grandmother Sybil Hannah of Thermopolis, Wyoming; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and a large extended and adopted family. He was preceded in death by his oldest sister Melissa Marie, grandmother Catsy Hannah, and grandfather Lee Hannah. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church, 2191 Century Blvd. in Rock Springs. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church and also after the services. Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
