Virginia Garcia Rock Springs - Virginia Garcia, 74, of Rock Springs, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness. She was born February 5, 1938 in Refugio, Texas, the daughter of Elisado Cantu and Magdelena Rocha Cantu. She married William A. Garcia March 23, 1953 in Quirro, Texas. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Her interests were spending time with her children, bowling, and dancing. Survivors included her husband William Garcia of Rock Springs; sons William Garcia Jr. and wife Linda and Dennis Garcia and wife Tonya all of Rock Springs, Michael Garcia and wife Rachael of Seattle, Washington; daughters, Marie Howells and husband Lyle, Lisa Schunks and husband Berry all of Rock Springs, Laura Howells and husband Brian of Mesquite, Nevada, and Carrie Montoya of Rock Springs; sisters Gloria Hernandez and Patty Cantu both of Woodsborrow, Texas; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, granddaughter Amber Michele Howells, and son-in-law Frank Montoya. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
