JACKSON -- William "Bill" Wilson McDaniel, 71, died Sunday, May 22, 2016, of congestive heart failure.
He was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Jackson to Sam and May McDaniel.
After a tumultuous life as a young adult, he got clean and sober in 1975 with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous.
In later life he became a bus driver and enjoyed charter trips all over the United States. He made thousands of trips to and from the trona mines.
His interests included cars, motorcycles, traveling and road trips.
He married Virginia LaRocque. They had a daughter. His wife preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter Tana Ragsdale and spouse, Will, of Cadillac, Michigan; stepdaughter Michelle of Rock Springs; step-grandchildren Susan, Shalynn and Sierra; sister Paula McDaniel and spouse, Donna, of Casper; many cousins; and good friends, including Lupe Robles and Alice Lampher of Green River.
His ashes will be interred at a later date in the Wilson Family Cemetery in Teton County.
