Zora Miller
Rock Springs - Zora Miller, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Sage View Convalescent Center, Rock Springs.
She was born August 23, 1924 in Manila, Utah, the daughter of George Albert Stevens and Madge Gamble Stevens.
She graduated from Manila High School with the class of 1942.
She married William "Bill" Miller in October of 1968.
She began working for the Mountain Bell Telephone Company while she was still in school, retiring after 35 years of service. She was also employed by OP Skaggs and the Sugar Bowl.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Her interests were gardening, reading, flowers, and kittens. As a young women she loved dancing, traveling as far away as Elk Mountain, Wyoming to listen and dance to nationally known "Big Bands."
Zora was dedicated to her family, especially her niece and nephews and many cousins. She will be greatly missed by the people who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her niece and nephews and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, husband, sister Georgeanna Roberts, brothers, Albert Stevens and George Edward Stevens, who died in infancy.
Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Rock Springs LDS Stake Center, 1055 Edgar St., Rock Springs. Inurnment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
