Spencer Fox grew up in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1967. He later attended Brigham Young University and the California College of Mortuary Science, preparing for a lifelong career dedicated to serving families.
Spencer began working in funeral service in 1973 and gained valuable experience while serving families in both California and Utah. In 1996, he returned to his hometown and founded Fox Funeral Home in Rock Springs. His goal was to provide local families with compassionate, dependable care from people who genuinely understand and value the community.
Throughout his career, Spencer has found great meaning in helping families through some of life’s most difficult moments. He believes every family deserves to be treated with patience, dignity, and respect, and that each service should thoughtfully reflect the life of the person being remembered. His steady presence and commitment to personal service have helped shape the values Fox Funeral Home continues to uphold today.
Spencer is the father of four sons: Brady and his wife, Deborah; Casey and his wife, Millie; Tyler; and Gentry. He is proud that Fox Funeral Home remains rooted in family and grateful for the trust that families throughout Rock Springs and the surrounding communities have placed in him over the years.
